The Studio

New Fairfield Pilates is a boutique mat and reformer Pilates studio located in the heart of New Fairfield, Connecticut. This home-based studio offers private and duet Pilates sessions, as well as red-light infrared sauna sessions, in a calm, intentionally designed space.

The studio was created to feel personal, unrushed, and supportive—more like stepping into a private practice than a traditional gym. With small session sizes and by-appointment-only scheduling, every visit is designed to feel thoughtful, focused, and tailored to you.

Just as importantly, this is a place where community is built. A space you return to not only for movement, but because it feels familiar, safe, and welcoming.

philosophy

We believe that meaningful change happens through intentional, consistent movement—not extremes, burnout, or one-size-fits-all workouts.

Our approach is rooted in:

  • Quality over quantity

  • Education over intimidation

  • Consistency over intensity

Each session emphasizes proper form, alignment, breath, and control so you can move with confidence and build strength that supports your life outside the studio. Pilates here is not about pushing harder—it’s about moving smarter, listening to your body, and creating a practice that evolves with you.

This philosophy reflects a broader belief in holistic wellness: caring for the body as part of a larger system that includes the nervous system, hormones, lifestyle, and environment. You’ll feel that intention not only in how sessions are taught, but in how the space itself is designed.

Equipment & Environment

We believe that what you move on and move in matters.

The studio is thoughtfully equipped with:

  • Balanced Body Studio Reformers for precision, safety, and versatility

  • All-natural cork yoga mats

  • High-quality small props chosen for durability and minimal synthetic materials

  • Natural, chemical- and scent-free cleaning products

Our goal is to create an environment that feels clean, grounding, and supportive—without unnecessary exposure to harsh chemicals, synthetic scents, or overstimulation. This aligns with a broader commitment to supporting the body’s natural balance and long-term well-being.

Simply put: the studio is designed to feel good to be in.

The Instructor

My name is Danielle, and I’m a Junior Apprentice Pilates Instructor training through Balanced Body’s comprehensive Pilates education program. I’m currently working toward my Mat and Reformer certifications and completing my required student teaching hours — which allows me to offer sessions at a reduced apprentice rate while delivering thoughtful, individualized instruction.

I didn’t grow up as a lifelong athlete. I dabbled in sports like soccer and volleyball, but it wasn’t until college that I discovered movement I truly loved through CrossFit. I was drawn to how empowering it felt — but after a few years, I could feel the toll it was taking on my body. I wanted strength without burnout, challenge without constant strain.

Pilates became the answer. It offered the same sense of empowerment and physical challenge, but in a way that felt natural, intentional, and sustainable. I fell in love with its emphasis on anatomy, precision, and quality of movement. Pilates engages the mind just as much as the body — and that balance is what keeps people practicing for life.

Today, my teaching style reflects that philosophy. I take a highly personalized, educational approach, customizing each session based on your strengths, imbalances, injuries, and goals. I emphasize proper alignment, breath, and controlled, functional movement to help you build strength from the inside out — improving flexibility, balance, coordination, and overall body awareness.

I encourage questions, feedback, and active participation. This studio is meant to feel welcoming and supportive — a space where you can learn how your body works, move at your own pace, and feel comfortable being yourself. My goal is not just to guide you through exercises, but to empower you through knowledge so you leave understanding why we move the way we do.

My work is rooted in a holistic view of wellness. Pilates addresses the physical body, but true well-being also includes mental and emotional health. Outside the studio, I’m also the founder of The Intimate Instinct, a women’s discussion group focused on connection, self-understanding, and community — values that deeply inform how I teach and how I hold space for clients.

Whether you’re reintroducing movement after a long break or looking to deepen an existing practice, my goal is to support you in building strength, confidence, and habits that last a lifetime. This isn’t about pushing to extremes — it’s about moving with intention, consistency, and care.
